PTSD To Freedom – Mental & Spiritual Healing: No More War Within by Linda Diane Wattley

Contributors: William Sumner (Author), Anastasia Young (Editor), Cyrus Webb (Foreword), Martha Cleves (Preface)

When you experience traumatic experiences that alters your emotional and psychological foundation, you begin to experience a very personal and fragile meltdown. While all of this is happening, your body diligently works to save your life. You survived the initial shock, now the aftermath, yes that personal and dreadful aftermath. Now what?

“PTSD to Freedom – No More War Within”, will tell you to pick up your bed and walk because you are the captain of your ship.

Authors Linda Diane Wattley and William Sumner are veterans of the United States Army. They teamed up together to write this extraordinary and unique book because they both have a heart for people suffering with PTSD, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. It was obvious to them that if the male and female perspectives and resources were joined together that it would have a profound impact on the world. What they offer is powerful because the truths automatically empower the readers. No doubt, the truth will set you free!

Keep in mind, PTSD is no respecter of persons; you, me, a child, soldier, parent, friend, spouse, lover, doctor, judge, police officer, neighbor, and even a minster can be suffering with PTSD. The good news is that it does not have to be a life-sentence. “PTSD to Freedom – No More War Within” is about having complete control of your outcome and allowing your greatest self to shine.

Cold Coffee Review: We owe a debt of gratitude to our United States men and women who have served in our armed forces. This book’s contributing authors all served in the United States Army.

I am sure that you are familiar with the term PTSD and perhaps it has wreaked havoc on your life or the life of your family member, friend or acquaintance. Are you familiar with the term PTSG or NLP?

I encourage you to read this book and glean the information that will help you on your journey out of PTSD and give you tools to help others along their journey.

Author Linda Diane Wattley dedicates this book to those of us who face PTSD and fight against the daily war within.

Whether your PTSD comes from a traumatic childhood experience, military service, domestic violence, crime or accident inflicted trauma; Author Linda Diane Wattley writes, speaks and interviews from a heart of knowledge and compassion. Linda reaches out and interviews other PTSD victims from her radio podcast show. She gives daily inspiration on her website titled The Truth Will Set You Free.

I, Theodocia McLean, endorse this book PTSD To Freedom (No More War Within) by Linda Diane Wattley as a tool in your mental health toolbox to help you recognize and overcome the icy grip of PTSD. I purchased this book from Kindle. This review was completed on May 14, 2018.

Interview:

What makes you proud to be a writer from Akron Ohio? I am writing from Akron, Ohio. What makes me proud to be a writer is the fact I never gave up even though I learned by trial and error to finally self-publish my own book and it comes out amazing!  And, my writing is well received by readers and makes a difference in the lives of others.

What or who inspired you to become a writer? I love writing because the experience is awesome taking the unseen and bringing it into the seen.  It’s not anything like it.

Did your environment or upbringing play a major role in your writing and did you use it to your advantage? Definitely!  After years of sexual, mental and physical abuse, I found a voice in writing.  And, I learned I was not the only one.  But I learned, everybody cannot interpret the feelings and twisting thoughts that result after abuse.  I can do it so naturally which makes me so grateful for such a priceless gift.

What has been your most rewarding experience with your writing process? My writing process opened many doors to embrace and be embraced by others.

What has been the most rewarding experience in your publishing journey? Publishing my first self-published book and confident that it is a blessing for others.

Do you come up with your title(s) before or after you write the manuscript? I have had titles before, doing and after completion depending on how it all comes together in meaning.

Please introduce your genre and why you prefer to write in that genre? I had a difficult time narrowing down a genre because I feel the book is so universal but to say it is a self-help, self-growth, spiritual and psychological general.

What would one positive piece of advice you give to other authors? Know that whatever is within you to express in words, do it knowing others are waiting to read them.

Who is your favorite author and why? Maya Angelou because she was so honest.

Inner Peace

Inner Peace

After we have searched our mind and observed its many thoughts
and imaginings, we come to peace.

How long we enjoy this peace is another story.

All it takes is another thought or demand placed upon us
due to our daily choices of responsibility.

We move from one state to another mentally
and physically without thought to our state of mind.

Peace is only required when it is time to rest for the night.
But the key to health is peace of mind.

When we have peace we make more positive choices with our lives.
The key is:  move with a mind that is at peace or don’t move at all.

God promises us He will keep us in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on Him.
In all we do, do with God awareness.

Peace

Love Can Heal The World

love can heal

Love Can Heal The World

We are facing a world crisis that will continue to grow as long as we deny the power of love.  The lack of love breeds a ground for war.  Where there is war, we find desperation.  Each soul is born to bear love.  No love means no life.  The world is a cancerous monster right now denying love.  There is no way we can move forward and have hope for the future for our children if we do not face this epidemic.

What has happened to Paris is a reality check for mankind to seek a better way to exist.  God and Love are one and the same vibration.  The lack of it in any individual soul is creating a future of extinction.  We must ask ourselves why we have so much trust in the world’s knowledge when it is contrary to love and togetherness.  Our soldiers go to war, return home to a war they can not win because they would go to jail and to hell for defending themselves against selfish and greedy people.  They walk on land filled with hatred and self-righteousness.  There has to be individual change if we want hope in America.

Love is possible once people realize it is okay to love without loosing.  You love by allowing God to sit in your heart.  You deny the things of the world that keeps you uptight and selfish.  For sure, Paris is experiencing PTSD just as we are here in America simply because sudden trauma has visited their land.  Rape, murder, molestation, abuse, attack of any kind and natural disasters go on daily making our land a place of fear and desperation.

If we do not personally allow God to be the heart of our lives, love is denied resulting in a continued war zone.  Today let go of the world and allowed God to restore your heart and if He does not need to restore your heart, allow God to increase your love flow for the sake of your fellowman.  I am not asking you to be a fool, I am only asking you to be love and trust God to protect and guide you through this life time.  LOVE WILL NOT BE DENIED.

Entertaining Way To PTSD

ellisaWhen I read “Eye of the Beholder” I wanted the whole world to read this book because the author went deep within herself to present it which allows the readers to go deep within themselves. I am not mentioning this book for commercial reasons. I am mentioning this book for soulful reasons.

This book gives you the hardcore reality of PTSD from the standpoint the main character is a soldier with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. This soldier had it prior to going to war and it escalated as he lived the horrors of war. This man ‘s face was disfigured which landed him into the hands of a deeply spiritual woman who knew greater is the he of him on the inside than the he that is on the outside.

Reading “Eye of the Beholder” reminded me of how our soldiers are tended to by nurses with hearts and skills to cross our soldiers back to life knowing their lives will never be the same. Reading this book wakens everything possible inside of you, aspects goody two shoes people wouldn’t get yet be stimulated. The fact the writer knew sensuality and spirituality handled correctly and with love brings out a tremendous healing totally.

I had to share this with you because I know God wanted you to know about it. There are all kinds of avenues to get to a better place with self. This indeed is one of them.

The greatness of a mans power is the measure of his surrender.
by William Booth

The word “surrender” is often interpreted as giving up, as weakness, as admitting defeat.

Although this is one way to use the word, we will use it in a different way.

Surrendering means letting go of your resistance to the total openness of who you are.

It means giving up the tension of the little vortex you believe yourself to be and realizing the deep power of the ocean you truly are.

It means to open with no boundaries, emotional or physical, so you ease wide beyond any limiting sense of self you might have.

Life Is In God’s Hands

LIFE IS IN GOD’S HANDS

It was back in February I learned one of “The Biggest Loser” trainee of age 51 was hit with a heart-attack.
I still can’t seem to get it off my mind.  He was so filled with strength and vitality and a great motivator.
When he shared his story with millions of television viewers, I saw his shock and pain.

The thing that stayed with me the most is the fact that he was at an event enjoying him and just dropped.
There happened to be two doctors attending the event and was able to do CPR on him and administer a defibrillator to shock his heart to beat again.
If these two doctors were not there, Bob Harper would not be alive to tell his story.

What are the chances two doctors are present at the same event he was attending?  They were angels certain he would live.
This tells me, God has the due date for our departure no matter what we do or not do.  Bob suffered from the moment of birth from genes that came with his life.
Thank God he took good care of himself; the impact could have been much worse and still allowing him to be alive.

He learned so much from this experience, know your body, and know your family history and I am sure he also learned the power of God.

Read his story let it remind you of the precious value of life.  Live, love, and laugh often and do not forget to thank God you are still here.
