Make The Best Adjustments

The solution to our mood problems may not require heroic attempts to change our inner feeling
world or the outer world of other people, places and jobs.
Rather, it may simply involve a shift in the way we pay attention to all of them.

Today Is The Day

Beginning today, I will create a new future by creating a new me.
No longer will I dwell in a pit of despair, moaning over squandered time and lost opportunity.
I can do nothing about the past.
My future is immediate.
I will grasp it in both hands and carry it with running feet.
When I am faced with the choice of doing nothing or doing something,
I will always choose to act!  I seize this moment.  I choose now.

Dear Racist

Dear Racist,

First of all I want to thank you for reading my letter.  You do not know me and I don’t know you but I have felt your presence many times.  Yesterday I started my day thanking God for waking me up and allowing me to have a job.  There was a warm and grateful smile on my face as I greeted strangers I passed as I walked through the parking lot to enter the doors to my job.  As I turned the corner to get on the elevator, I was greeted with a dark, cold and fearful unseen vibration that made me wonder if Satan himself had entered the building.  I took a deep breath and proceeded to get on the elevator.  With a smile on my face I pushed the button to the floor I was heading to.  In the meantime there I was just you and me.

You stood there like you were made out of stone definitely was not giving up any eye contact.  You just stood in the elevator as far from me as you could almost as if you were not breathing.   Looking up with a smile, I silently thanked God I did not have to carry that spirit of racism in my soul.  I was glad you kept your distance because shielding me from your cruel vibrations was already difficult.

I don’t understand how you choose to hate someone you know not anything about.  Obviously, it is quite a chore to live with this conscious choice.  But do you know what it is doing to you?  There is no way hatred, anger; disgust, evil thoughts, and a need to attack and kill does not have a price.  These vibrations harm and kill the body.  Love cannot exist with these vibrations.  You can’t turn it off and on to love and return to hate.  It does not work like that.

How do I know how detrimental your state of existence is?  Easy, look at yourself.  Your consumption of hate is so great that you can’t keep it to yourself.  You have to find some kind of way to release it.  So powerfully overwhelming you have to release it on innocent people.  It kills you so you kill people.  It would take aliens from another world for you to realize there is only one race, the human race, a race God created.

I pray that you be set free from this demon of hate so you can live a healthier and warm life.  Your life is valuable.  My life is valuable.  God made us to love.  Just stop it, you don’t need it.  There is so much more to feel and experience in this life.

God Bless

Micro VS Marco

Micro VS Marco

Keep It Simple

When we  take a real look at life, we must admit the journey is quite overwhelming.  Just when you think you have figured it out, something happens and rocks your world.  The key is to see the whole picture.  You are a micro in a macro world. We don’t think about it we just walk into it like it is normal to be infested with negativity and detachment.

Look at yourself, you are just a single unit of existence.  You are free to bask in this state of being at home but once you walk out the door of your house, your single unit is forced into the macro existence of millions of micros forcing a chaotic and loveless macro that is usually very harsh and selfish.

You get in your car and head to work.  You notice many micros looking very numb and unhappy.  How are you looking to others today?  Are you contributing to the massive heartless macro or are you able to separate yourself from the energy field it possess by smiling and counting your blessings?

The macro does not have to push you around and put you in survival and victim mode if you empower your micro to be here but not here based on what is permeating from your being.  You must make your home heaven on earth.  It has to be the place where you regenerate positive vibrations within your being.  Your environment has to be vibrating a high frequency of good, love, peace, strength, freedom and acceptance of self.

When you make this a priority, you can step out into the macro and not be killed mentally, emotionally and spiritually.  You can also be a contributor to the mini micros who are establishing a base of positive vibrations to exist in a better state of being.  This is a lifestyle with great rewards.  Establishing a self-nurturing base for your self gives you power that grows and become a light in a dark world.

Save your self and love doing it.  It is a beautiful journey.  When you do this, the macro has to back off and emerge with its own kind.

There Is A Magic About You

selfThere Is A Magic About You

Today we are going to slow down and see how important we are to our self.  We need our self to learn, grow and love.  What is needed by everyone is space to see.  When our lives are filled with clutter of things, people and activity, we cannot see the forest for the trees.  Facing the world today, we are going to set everyone free to be just who and what he or she may be.  Let the God they serve give them what they deserve.  No longer are our views of what seems best for others are going to control our actions if we see early on it does not make a difference.  It comes a time when becoming less because we’re reaching for others is not acceptable.  Instead, we are going to keep the strong strong by respecting, acknowledging, nurturing and blessing them in unique ways revealed by our hearts.

No longer are we going to drag the weak  because usually the weak are selfish and use our compassion as a means of obtaining what they are capable of getting for themselves.  We are gong to love them with a trusting love that their God will see them through.  Like us who have experienced pain and suffering of some kind and had to move forward so it is with our loved ones.  They must feel the pain to grow if we keep giving them band aids they will never mature or become strong enough to come out of needy mode.

Our love will be the right love where we know for a fact things do get better with or without our two cents.  Save those two cents for positive things that are flourishing.

Love confidently!  Love your self enough to say no sometimes and yes when it is fruitful. We all have a journey even our loved ones.

Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder Before and After Being A Soldier

PTSD Before and After War

I am from Akron, Ohio.  Our local town newspaper is the Akron Beacon Journal.  I am proud to say they accepted my book for review.  What they shared about my book was shocking because no where was spirituality shared.  This allowed the raw and real realities of my life to be shared.  I appreciate the Akron Beacon journal for sharing what the world the truth about the ugliness of being victimized early in life.  PTSD is a reality that does not have to be a life-sentence.  I am a living witness, life can and will be grand when you understand your total being.  Soldier With A Backpack Living And Dying Simultaneously is a tool to enlightenment when you are ready.

Soldier with a Backpack: Linda Diane Wattley didn’t see armed conflict when she served in the U.S. Army after graduating from South High School, but she had seen enough in her life before her enlistment to suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder. She tells her story in Soldier with a Backpack: Living and Dying Simultaneously.

Wattley recalls being about 4 years old the first time her father raped her. Her parents got into physical battles, and her father took up with a woman who also fought with him, once pouring boiling water on him. Wattley and her brothers were shoved back and forth between the two women; her mother had turned to drinking. There were two devastating deaths in a brief time.

Wattley turned to sex and marijuana while in the Army, which she called a “permanent party.” She was dating a man who she describes as controlling and aggressive; another man who had been friendly with her said “You know you don’t have to take that.” She took his counsel and left her boyfriend, later marrying the better man. They had a happy marriage and two sons, but the heartache was not over.

She began researching PTSD after her son’s return from two tours in Iraq. Despite her father’s actions, she says “our relationship was solid;” she shows forgiveness for other family members who have broken her trust and injured her.

Soldier With A Backpack: Living and Dying Simultaneously (After The Storm Publishing Presents) by Linda Diane Wattley

Soldier With A Backpack: Living and Dying Simultaneously Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, the hidden love killer, is instrumental in creating a world of alienation in the human experience.

Soldier with a Backpack, Living and Dying Simultaneously is written to form a silent unity of hope and understanding for individuals experiencing or knowing someone with PTSD and to reveal a needed truth about it.

Linda D. Wattley grew up with a tainted trust in adults, now that she has become one herself; Author Wattley began to learn why adults were so unhappy. She realized that stress and trauma had molded her into someone who felt unworthy of love, yet there was still something else willing her to life, telling her to share with the world that sufferers of PTSD, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder are more than words could ever describe.

Author Wattley shares the experienced impact stress and trauma has on the human soul and the price we pay ignoring this reality. It is with great urgency she intimately shares her plight in life with her readers. Being mentally, emotionally, spiritually and physically raped as a child, she survived by learning to exist in an inner world of divine peace.

Something happened to that little girl; she didn’t die nor did she live, yet much was lost while much was gained.

Book Review: Author Linda Diane Wattley’s memoir ‘Soldier With A Backpack: Living and Dying Simultaneously’ is packed with nuggets of pure truth meant to expose the evil that was meant to destroy her, show God’s greatness and attest to her healing from PTSD. Once I started reading, I couldn’t put her story down. I especially love memoirs, because it takes a special kind of strength to write a memory and share raw emotion and experience with the world.

If you enjoy reading memoirs that are a journey from hell into healing with ordained, anointed prayer behind the words to encourage others along their journey, this book is a must read.

Linda says, “Out of trauma, much drama occurs. Trauma has so many levels of appearing in our lives from the war zones where our soldiers witness death and the survival of death, vehicular accidents, murders, catastrophic disasters, illnesses, rape, sudden deaths of our loved ones; the list is unending.”

“Cycles can be broken when light is shined on reality. This is my purpose to shine light on the personal aftermath of trauma. ‘And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.’ John 8:13.”

Follow Linda through her life, learn from her healing and willingness to share what most people would hide in the darkness. Enjoy the short, direct poems scattered throughout the book and learn how Linda activated the love of God in her life, so she can be a beacon of light (“messenger”) to those seeking healing form PTSD.

I (Theodocia McLean) endorses Soldier With A Backpack: Living and Dying Simultaneously (After The Storm Publishing Presents) by Linda Diane Wattley as her memoir from darkness into light.  I purchased and reviewed this book from Kindle format. The review was completed on January 30, 2016.
